OnePlus 2 will feature a Fingerprint Sensor, "Faster Than Touch ID"
It's been less than a week since OnePlus 2 was officially announced to be unveiled at July 27th - that too in virtual reality. Now, OnePlus has made another announcement about the upcoming device that it will feature a fingerprint sensor.

OnePlus has announced the OnePlus 2 will feature a fingerprint sensor. The touch-enabled fingerprint sensor, in company's words, will be "faster than Touch ID." Means it will unlock your phone faster than Touch ID does. Touch ID is being used by Apple, and it is faster and reliable. It will be great to see how this competes with Touch ID.

The company also said that the fingerprint sensor will be able to save 5 fingerprint profiles. Which will make it easier for the users to access the phone from any of 5 fingers.

Here is what the company thinks about the forthcoming sensor:
On the OnePlus 2, one quick tap takes you right to your homescreen. With the ability to store up to five fingerprint profiles, it’s fast, it’s safe, and it’s secure. Your smartphone is your most personal device, and its security should be personal, too.
Google's upcoming Android M will add native support for fingerprint sensors, which will result in helping OEMs better implement the tech into their smartphones.

In case you missed it, OnePlus 2 will be powered by Snapdragon 810 v2.1 chip - which is believed to be less hotter than the one used in Xperia Z3+ and Z4 which were being heated up. It will also feature a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. Except these, we don't have any alleged specs.
