T-Mobile launching Lumia 640 on June 17th

The Microsoft Lumia 640, which was announced back in March at the current year's Mobile World Congress (MWC) alongside its elder brother - the Lumia 640 XL, will be launched by T-Mobile on June 17.

The information comes from a leaked internal memo which says the gadget will have a limited release in selected areas only, although customers will be able to place orders at all other T-Mobile stores and have the handset transported straightforwardly to them. There was, in any case, no word on pricing.

The Microsoft Lumia 640 features a 5 inches LCD display with 720p resolution - with a pixel density of 294ppi. Under the hood is Snapdragon 400 SoC, which includes a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and Adreno 305 GPU. 1 GB of RAM will assist the CPU, and the phone has 8 GB of internal storage with a microSD slot supporting 128 GB of storage. 8 MP camera is on the back to capture your moments, with Autofocus capability and a LED flash. And 0.9 MP snapper is on the front to take selfies and for video calling. The Phone supports 4G LTE. A battery of 2500mAh keeps the engine running.

It's worth saying that the carrier had already confirmed that the Lumia 640, which will be one of the first gadgets to get the Windows 10 for Phones update, will be accessible through every one of its channels beginning July 16.
